¹⁵ Intent on satisfying the crowd, Pilate released Barabbas for them, and after having Jesus ^(A)flogged, he handed Him over to be crucified.

Jesus Is Mocked

^16 (B)Now the soldiers took Him away into ^(C)the ^[a]palace (that is, the Praetorium), and they *called together the whole Roman ^[b](D)cohort. ¹⁷ And they *dressed Him in ^[c]purple, and after twisting together a crown of thorns, they put it on Him;
